Two-Month Workshop on Data Collection and Report Writing
KLE Society's P. C. Jabin Science College, Hubballi
The Institute for Inclusive Growth and Development (IIGD), Dharwad, successfully conducted a two-month workshop on "Data Collection and Report Writing" during April–May 2026 for the undergraduate students of KLE’s P. C. Jabin Science College, Hubballi. The workshop was organized in coordination with the Department of Statistics with the objective of enhancing students’ understanding of research methodology, data collection techniques, and report writing skills. As part of the programme, members of the Institute conducted weekly classes and provided systematic guidance on various aspects of research methodology.
The sessions covered topics ranging from the selection of research topics, methods of data collection, analysis of data, and preparation and writing of research reports.
The programme was presided over by Ms. Preeti Shetty, Head of the Department. Ramappa Savadatti, Secretary of IIGD, along with Institute member Mr. Malatesh Aralikatti and Research Fellow Dr. Ramesh Kampli actively participated in conducting the workshop sessions and guiding the students.
The workshop was conducted successfully and proved highly beneficial in improving students’ knowledge of research practices, field data collection, analytical skills, and academic report writing.
